Sometimes it is a small, charming, time-worn and loved vintage toy that inspires whimsy and fun into vintage decor!
Colorful ... faded, probably chippy and worn .....
Long ago retired as a picnic or lawn game, vintage toys and games become a sculptural element giving a rustic and perhaps nostalgic touch to a space.
Maybe, although a over a hundred years old (or more!) they still have hours and hours of game-playing left in them like this set of dominoes from the 1800's or this antique jump rope that still promises to withstand a few more hops....
Vintage toys and games, even the simplest, can be added to your home to serve as a small and much needed reminder....
To stop, enjoy and ......Don't forget to play!
Hope you are enjoying a playful-vintage summer!

Happy Friday mes amis!

Hi, I think this is my first visit to your blog. I love all these vintage items, so I read some of your older posts. I'm in awe that you moved to France from the US a few years ago. I don't know if I'd have the courage to do that, but I admire anyone who can make the move. How exciting your journey must be. I'm now following you because I'd love to hear more of your experiences in France!
